Emma Stone had the sweetest reaction to a reporter calling her by her real first name on Saturday.
In response to a journalist yelling out 'Emily' during a press conference at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival for her upcoming film Kinds of Kindness, the La La Land actress, 35, smiled brightly upon hearing her name.
She, then, turned to the film’s director, Yorgos Lanthimos, and excitedly said: 'That's my name!'
The moment comes just weeks after the two-time Oscar winner revealed she prefers using her real name when possible.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the performer, who changed her name years ago because there was already another Emily Stone registered with SAG, admitted that she felt like she just couldn't be called Emma 'anymore.'

'When I get to know them, people that I work with do [call me Emily],' she said.
When asked if she would correct a fan that called her Emily, not Emma, Stone said: 'No. That would be so nice. I would like to be Emily.'
Emma is at Cannes to promote her upcoming film, Kinds of Kindness. The film marks her fifth collaboration with Yorgos.
The two have worked together on her Oscar winning role in Poor Things as well as the recently announced Begonia, which will be her fifth film with the Greek filmmaker.
The movie a triptych fable in which 'A submissive office worker (Jesse Plemons) lets his boss dictate everything, from what he wears to the woman he marries.
'In the next segment, the same actor assumes a different role, playing a cop grieving his wife’s disappearance. When she resurfaces (Stone), he’s less than enthused when she tries to dominate him in the bedroom.
'Finally, a woman (also Stone) abandons her marriage to follow a kinky cult leader (Willem Dafoe) who’s ordered her to find an elusive faith healer,' according to Variety.
The film made its premiere at the annual film festival on the French Riviera on Friday.
